Specifically designed for physicians for exploring point of care ultrasound

to enhance the management of the critically ill.

This course presents a systematic and comprehensive assessment using ultrasound, adopting the familiar

"A, B, C, D, E" format in accordance with the WINFOCUS ultrasound life support curriculum.

The intent is to enable rapid and effective decision making, and to improve triage, diagnostic, therapeutic

and monitoring capability.

The key lectures are condensed and will be delivered in an interactive format. During the hands on

training sessions, trainees will be guided to perform bedside scans on volunteers and practise intervention

skills on mannequins. The trainee to trainer ratio is restricted to ensure trainees have ample opportunities

to practise. This course will lay the foundation required of the clinician in using point of care ultrasound in

their daily practice.

Training Value

European Continuation Medical Education credits (EUMS), equivalent to WINFOCUS Ultrasound in Critical Care Medicine BPL1. Certification for Ultrasound Enhanced life support Provider
